Raffle to Help Little Lucie Walk Again

This is Lucie, my Mom's little pug and one of my favorite creatures on the planet. On Wednesday Lucie had what is known as an FCE event or a spinal cord stroke leaving her back legs paralyzed and little baby Lucie unable to walk. Lucie is an active and vibrant little pug, she loves barking at vacuum cleaner hoses, playing with nerf guns, eating popcorn off the kitchen floor, running around the house like a maniac and long walks on the beach. She's also a very talented clothing model and muse for my mother's doggy clothing company. Right now Lucie can't do any of these things and that makes her (and us) really sad. It's possible for Lucie to recover the full use of her legs but she's going to need a lot of medical care, physical therapy and possibly surgery and so I've put together a fundraiser to gather enough money to cover some of her medical expenses.
Please consider donating and sharing the link with friends-even 5 dollars would help and would be greatly appreciated. Every person that donates will be entered into our raffle, we will do a drawing every time we reach one of our smaller fundraising goals along the way-the first drawing will be held when we reach the $500 dollar mark & another at the $1000 mark. If you've made a donation & would like to be entered into the drawing leave a comment below or email me at info@theadornedarticle.com

The Goods:
In the pot for the first drawing is a custom monogrammed necklace (which I will customize with the winner's initials in the metal of their choice)  a set of 5 vegan eye shadows kindly donated by Madison Street Beauty on Etsy and this adorable doggy bomber jacket custom made to your dog's specifications by Lucie's Mom (and mine) Deni Alexander of Deni Alexander Designs.

Here's a sneak peak at the couture dog dress (seen here modeled by Ms. Lucie herself) that we will raffle off when we reach $1000...

New Rosary Design & A Magpie Complex

My new shiny baby...

I'm normally mortified (and maybe a tiny bit nauseated) when I see blog posts that read like badly written product ads wherein the author is blatantly congratulating themselves on a job well done. So I'm mildly disgusted with myself right now-even as I continue to type up this post-which at best could be described as shameless self-promotion. Despite my trepidation I do intend to share one of my newly minted rosary designs with you and I hope that you will forgive me for saying that I love this particular piece. So much so in fact that it's pretty much all I can do to keep myself from ferreting it away with the rest of my jewelry hoard where no one will ever ever find it and where I can stop by occasionally to admire it's sparkly goodness...really what I need to do is find it a good home with a woman who will love it and take care of it...someone with the ability to appreciate this level of shiny.
If you happen to be such a woman and also happen to be reading this blog post-drop by my website so we can begin the adoption proceedings...
